Normally we tell jokes about Texans, here in Colorado, but this one was no laughing matter.

Imagine you are a small but successful developer, based in Texas, with plans to start a new retail development in Denver in two weeks. Your main tenant is lined up, things look rosy. You fly into Denver to make sure the permit process is going OK, when things start to fall apart.

The demolition contractor is cited for environmental problems. The planning office decides the historic district next door has nice standards that should apply to you too. The building department tells you it will be a minimum of six weeks until construction can start. Neighborhood groups complain. The state highway department won't issue the access permit you need. A dozen little things add to the confusion.

What do you do?

Answer: call Modus Management.

We put the project back on track and got it open on time. Dealing with the local government is what we do best. And we're here full time, unlike our friends in Texas.
